THE CURRICULUM
A PRECISION ROADMAP TO TECHNICAL MASTERY
THE ROADMAP
PHASE 1: THE FOUNDRY
WEEKS 1-8
This phase focuses on technical immersion. Regardless of your chosen track, we begin with a deep dive into the OSI model, IP addressing, and the foundational principles of computing. We strip away abstraction to ensure every student understands how data moves across a network and how systems interact at a fundamental level. This phase is critical for establishing the technical vocabulary and mental models required for advanced work.
- Advanced TCP/IP Networking & Subnetting
- Linux Systems Administration (Command Line Mastery)
- IT Infrastructure & Hardware Fundamentals
- Introduction to Version Control (Git)
PHASE 2: THE ANVIL
WEEKS 9-16
The work intensifies as students branch into their specialized tracks. This is where we apply the principles of the foundry to real-world infrastructure. Cybersecurity students begin vulnerability scanning and exploit analysis; Cloud students deploy their first multi-tier architectures on AWS; Networking students configure Cisco hardware. The focus is on repetitive application and supervised problem-solving in our physical and virtual labs.
- Track-Specific Specialization (Cyber, Cloud, or Network)
- Hands-on Laboratory Simulation (Daily Drills)
- Technical Troubleshooting & Logic Development
- Scripting Fundamentals (Python & Bash for IT)
PHASE 3: THE TEMPER
WEEKS 17-24
The final phase is dedicated to hardening. We subject students to complex, multi-day scenarios that mimic actual crises or architectural challenges they will face in the field. This phase builds professional resilience and intuition. We also integrate intensive certification preparation, ensuring that every student is ready to defend their knowledge in both a technical interview and a standardized examination.
- Capstone Project: Real-World Architecture/Security Case
- Crisis Simulation & Rapid Problem Resolution
- Certification Exam Bootcamps (Security+, CCNA, AWS CSA)
- Portfolio Documentation & Presentation
PHASE 4: THE STAMP
POST-GRADUATION
We don't stop at graduation. Every alumnus receives the 'Forge Stamp'—a lifetime commitment to career support. We help you navigate the first 90 days of your new role, provide advanced elective modules as you progress, and invite you back to mentor the next generation. Our success is measured by your long-term career trajectory, not just your first day on the job.
- Technical Interview Prep & Salary Negotiation
- Direct Hiring Referrals via Forge Alumni Network
- Post-Placement Mentorship (90-Day Success Plan)
- Lifetime Access to Lab Environments & Resources
CERTIFICATION ALIGNMENT
COMPTIA STANDARDS
Our curriculum is rigorously mapped to CompTIA Network+ and Security+ objectives. We ensure you aren't just memorizing test answers, but understanding the underlying concepts that these industry standards represent. We provide full vouchers and prep labs for these essential entry-level credentials.
CISCO ARCHITECTURE
For our network engineering track, we follow the Cisco CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) roadmap. Our labs feature real Cisco IOS environments, ensuring that you develop the command-line proficiency and logical design skills expected of an associate-level network engineer.
AWS CLOUD COMPLIANCE
Our cloud infrastructure modules are aligned with the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate objectives. We teach the Well-Architected Framework, focusing on security, cost-efficiency, and reliability in one of the world's most popular cloud ecosystems.
THE FORGE TOOLSET
We don't just teach the 'what'; we teach the 'how'. Our curriculum integrates the actual tools used by IT professionals in the field every day. By the time you graduate, you will be proficient in a wide array of professional technologies.
PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT
Certifications get you the interview; your portfolio gets you the job. Every student at IT Career Forge documents their lab work into a professional portfolio. You will leave our program with documented proof of your ability to secure networks, deploy cloud environments, and troubleshoot enterprise systems. Marcus Thorne personally reviews every capstone project to ensure it meets our high standards of professional excellence.
